#6 In Places I Want To See Again

The sixth location is Ashford County Park in Washington State. The trails through the forests that are near enough to Mount Rainer are paved and not a hard hike. The park also has clean bathrooms and, if you have children, a nice playground set is a bonus. As someone without children, I kept solely to the trails.

There are a lot of cool features as you walk throughout the park like this portion that had a log retention wall before being submerged in the woods once again. There were also, as with most places I’ve had on this list, a lot of wildflowers. I only managed to capture one image of a bush in bloom, and it is a little blurry as with a lot of my photos.

It was a hot day, but underneath the shade of the trees along the trail, it felt nice and cool. There were inclines along the trail, but nothing compared to the inclines on the Hummocks Trail, my number one on my list.

I look forward to visiting this park once again when I get the chance, just for a short little day trip.
